HI I'm Ant, head trainer at Defiance. Having over 10 years experience in the fitness industry I have seen many fads come and go, but one thing that remains consistent is getting stronger. With experience training a diverse range of clients from all ages and abilities, I have found that getting stronger is an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make.
At Defiance I believe that physical fitness is an intergral part in living a healthy and active life, especially as we age.
Our Classes are only 30min to fit in with your busy life and focus on getting you stronger and improving quality of movement. Programs delivered in a private setting and adapted for your unique situation.

Help you get stronger using Kettlebells, Barbells and body-weight exercises in a small group environment or, if you prefer, in a one on one setting. SMALL GROUP TRAINING
30min strength and movement based classes run on a monthly program focusing on one main movement and accessory exercises. The program changes monthly and is designed so you can join in at any stage and caters for all ages and experience levels. No random daily workouts! Classes are delivered using StrongFirst principles and based around 6 foundational functional movements Hinge, Squat, Push, Pull, Anti/Rotation and Locomotion
PRIVATE TRAINING

KETTLEBELL TRAINING
Kettlebells are one tool for many jobs.Versatile enough to build strength, power and athlete level conditioning. Defiance bases its training on StrongFirst principles, the development of strength as a skill. I originally started training with Anthony to get in shape and lose weight for my wedding. I had been active in my younger days and had lifted weights but never with a Personal Trainer. I am 58 years old and have progressively lost my mobility in my hips and lower back and suffered ongoing neck issues for many years now. However after attending personal training sessions with Anthony I have regained my flexibility, gained confidence in my own strength and can now walk in an upright position, rather than waddle like a duck. Also the arthritis and calcification in the knuckles of my big toes has reduced remarkably and I am confident I can now throw away my orthotics. He is meticulous in his preparation, accomplished in his field and genuine in his belief to get me to reach my goals.
